With more than 12 years of experience as a piano technician, Mark’s journey began at Whitney Music Center in Willmar, MN. During his eight years as the resident Piano Technician, he learned the craft of piano tuning and repair and continued to develop his skills through mentorship and online study.

Mark’s work at Whitney Music Center included cleaning, tuning, regulating, and repairing a wide variety of consignment pianos, as well as new and used floor models. He served clients throughout West Central Minnesota, including churches, homes, schools, and theaters. The instruments he worked on ranged from spinets and full-size uprights—including many over 100 years old—to baby grands, grands, and a 9-foot concert grand. Mark also had the opportunity to work on antique and square grands dating from the mid-to-late 1800s.

Mark earned the trust of my clients through outstanding customer service, a willingness to take on challenging projects, and meticulous attention to detail. Whether addressing the mechanical workings of an instrument, refining its musical performance, or simply bringing it back to its best, he takes pride in doing careful, thorough work.

After four years serving clients in the greater Las Vegas and Dallas–Fort Worth areas as an independent piano tuner and technician, Mark is happy to be back in Minnesota. Today, he serves Anoka and Ramsey counties.

Mark loves meeting a wide variety of wonderful people—and getting to know their pianos and, often, their pets along the way! He enjoys helping piano owners better understand their instruments and providing the care and guidance they need to get the most enjoyment from their musical pursuits.

Mark is a proud member of the Piano Technicians Guild, Twin Cities Chapter.
